It is over duty to remark that the prisoner in question will probably be discharged by the Police
Magistrate tomorrow in the case now pending against him, and that, unless
this request be complied with, he
will escape the hands of justice entirely, since N.C. has determined not
to continue his detention pending the
reference to the S. of State .
